October 27: Leading US fancy can manufacturer Independent Can has brought on line a number of investments that it says will strengthen its position in speciality metal packaging and metal lithography.
“Slower economic times provide great opportunities for installation of new equipment,” says company president Rick Huether.
Earlier this month the Belcamp, Maryland-based canmaker started up its new four-colour Metalstar2 decorating press supplied by Germany’s KBA-Metalprint.
