April 29: India’s second two-piece beverage can plant is expected to start making its first cans before the end of April with commercial production starting in May.
Can-Pack India, a subsidiary of Poland-based canmaker Can-Pack, first announced the Rs750 crore (US$193m) project at Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation industrial area at Waluj in Aurangabad district at the end of 2007.
