November 24: Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without pumpkin pie. But a shortage of canned pumpkin pie filling could mean that some American dinner tables will have to go without the treat this year.

Ohio-based Nestlé Baking, a subsidiary of Nestlé USA whose Libby’s brand makes up nearly 90 percent of the canned pumpkin market, said last week that it expected supplies to be short because of a poor crop.
