November 4: Pepsi’s ‘natural’ cola drink Raw is being launched into the UK off-trade this month in 25cl cans following its success in pubs and bars.

Marketed by Britvic in the UK since earlier this year in 30cl glass bottles, Pepsi Raw is made from sparkling water and a blend of ingredients, including plant extracts. The drink does not include artificial colours, preservatives, flavourings or sweeteners, reflecting a consumer shift toward ‘natural’ soft drinks.
But is sweetened with ‘natural’ cane sugar, which is why the drink has been criticised for being unhealthy by some groups.
