September 19: The recycling rate for steel packaging reached 69 percent in the UK last year, according to Corus Steel Packaging Recycling, a leading domestic promoter of recycling infrastructure.
In advance of official figures from the Government environment ministry Defra, Corus reckons that more than 400,000 tonnes of steel packaging were recycled, exceeding targets by 27 percent.
