Sales at Red Bull shot up in 2010, further consolidating its position as the world’s leading canned energy drink brand.

The Austrian company sold 4.2 billion cans of its eponymous caffeinated drink in 2010, a rise of 7.6 percent on its 2009 total, making it the most successful year in the company’s history. Sales increased by 15.8 percent to 3.78bn euros ($5.16bn).
