Rexam has confirmed that it plans to build a two-piece beverage canmaking plant in Finland, with the first line due to start production by 2013.
When completed, the Rexam plant at Mantsala – in the south-west of the country, around 60km north of the capital Helsinki – will operate two lines, and have an annual capacity of around 1.35 billion 33cl and 50cl aluminium cans. The second line is expected to start production in January 2014.
