September 11: Leading canmaking firm Rexam is planning to set up its first complete production line for making Fusion aluminium bottles early next year.
The line will be constructed in the Czech Republic and have a first-year capacity of 60 million. Fusion bottles are made using D&I technology similar to the processes for beverage cans, enabling them to weigh around half that of equivalent impact-extruded bottles.
