February 27: Capacity at Rexam’s beverage can plant in Egypt will be doubled next year.
In a project that will cost the world’s largest drinks can manufacturer £19.5 million (US$36m), a second line will be added to facility west of Cairo, as reported by The Canmaker in its February issue. The move is a response to dramatic growth in demand for beverage cans in the Middle East.
