Project-integration and equipment company Roeslein & Associates has recorded seven years without any time lost to stoppages caused by staff injuries at its manufacturing facility at Red Bud in Illinois.
The site, located near its headquarters in St Louis, was opened in 2016 and has 185 staff. It serves customers in the canmaking industry, as well as others.
Ryan Kirkpatrick, Roeslein’s environmental, health and safety director, said: “It is very rare that we reach these in the industry that we are in. When we hit these milestones at our manufacturing facilities, it shows we are doing something right. It’s a unified vision for us.”
The canmaking equipment manufacturer said its safety performance had led to higher retention rates, reduced EMR and insurance costs, and ensured that employees were safe while not losing time from work. “Roeslein has global safety standards, such as proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and facility guidelines, that are implemented to assist in reaching these goals while following the One Roeslein mentality and Roeslein ethos,” the company said.
The company recently expanded in Europe, with a larger site in Dębno, Poland.
