February 12: Canmakers in Russia and neighbouring states are increasingly investing heavily in modern metal decorating systems. It shows that what was once regarded as a low-tech canmaking industry has become state-of-the-art.
At Belgorod in western Russia, paint can manufacturer BZMI will next month start operating a six-colour Sprint 926 decorating line with UV-curing supplied by Germany’s KBA-MetalPrint.
A month later in April, a five-colour Sprint 925 with UV-curing will be delivered to Estonian aerosol can manufacturer Metaprint, based at Tallinn.
