Russia steps up aluminium can recycling

Recycling rates for aluminium beverage cans in Russia are rising, thanks in part to a new collaborative project which is increasing the number of collection points for cans and other types of packaging across the country. 

The initiative, which began in June 2019, involves some of Russia’s largest retail chains and beverage producers, both domestic and overseas. These include Coca-Cola, Unilever and AB InBev Efes – a joint venture between Anheuser Busch InBev and Efes of Russia.
