Russian beverage can plant could be first for Ball

January 7: Ball Corporation is reported to be planning its first canmaking plant in Russia.
The US-based canmaker is said to be in talks with authorities in the southern Rostov region over plans to build a plant costing $120m that will have a capacity of at least 500 million aluminium drinks cans year.
A spokesman at Ball declined to comment on the report by Russian business daily Vedomosti.
