Sake takes to aluminium bottles in Japan


January 4: Three leading Japanese brands of sake are now being sold in aluminium bottles made by Takeuchi Press with resealable closures supplied exclusively by Alcoa CSI.
The lightweight containers, replacing glass, are of the type that are increasingly popular in Japan and will soon be produced in the US for the first time by Ball Corporation.
