Australia’s first new beverage canmaking plant to be built for 20 years is being set up by packaging group Visy to meet part of its biggest-ever supply agreement with a customer.
Melbourne-based Visy has signed a US$1 billion ten-year deal to supply Australia’s number-two soft-drinks and spirits bottler Schweppes with packaging that includes beverage cans, ends and cartons. One of the brands is Solo lemon juice (pictured).
