October 4: Construction of a second D&I beverage canmaking plant in Nigeria has started with its owner, Alucan Packaging, planning for production to start in the fourth quarter of 2011.
US-based Roeslein & Associates has been signed to engineer the project which will initially be for a single aluminium can line capable of running at 2,400cpm with capacity to produce up to a billion cans a year.
