Alcoa Corporation, which last November separated from its parent Alcoa Inc (now called Arconic Inc) reported first quarter sales of US$2.66 billion, an increase of about 5 percent compared with its parent’s results in the equivalent quarter of 2016, largely reflecting increases in alumina and aluminium prices.
