December 18: A drinks canning plant has been opened in Serbia with support from canmaking company Ball Packaging Europe, which set up the country’s first beverage can plant three years ago.
The 11 million euro (US$16m) investment on a greenfield site at Indija, north of the capital Belgrade, is the first venture in the drinks business by locally-based Terra Production, a division of the Terra Trade group.
