November 6: A spray-on foaming wood stain product, thought to be the first of its kind, has been made even more distinctive with a shaped aerosol can manufactured in the US by canmaking company Ball.
The Varathane Foam Stain product is aerosol-based to improve stability and control during application, in comparison to traditional brush-applied liquid wood stains.
Matt Moon, brand manager for Varathane at Illinios-based Rust-Oleum, claims that the product represents “the first wood stain available in a foam format for enhanced control – a real revolutionary concept in wood staining.”
