February 23: Coca-Cola is to launch a range of drinks in new-style sleek cans on the Italian market in May.
The cans made by Ball Packaging Europe at its Weissenthurm plant in Germany are slimmer than the conventional 33cl size but bigger than those used for energy drinks such as Red Bull. They have already been launched for beers and soft drinks in France, The Netherlands and Great Britain.
