Sales last year at CCL Industries, the Canadian-based aluminium aerosol can and bottle and labelling system manufacturer, improved by 9 percent after what it described as “strong organic growth” and acquisitions.

Currency translation took the wind out of the result however and the year end figure was down 1 percent at C$1.19 billion (US$1.21bn).
