September 25: World leading manufacturer of equipment for making three-piece cans and lids, Soudronic has agreed to buy SIG Cantec.
Switzerland-based Soudronic offers complete lines for the production of welded cans for foods, drinks, aerosols and general line applications and, more recently, presses for lug caps and peelable lids.
Its brand names include Ocsam, Cepac and Sabatier.
The acquisition of SIG Cantec, which specialised in rotary systems for beading, flanging, forming and seaming cans along with multi-die end presses, enables Soudronic to offer a complete range of equipment and provide a more comprehensive turnkey service in the supply of manufacturing lines.
