US-based McCall Farms, famed for its Southern-style vegetables, is working with its canmaking products supplier Crown to highlight the benefits of canned food and the recyclability of its containers.
The South Carolina packer is augmenting its labels with a ‘Can fact’ and a QR code that directs consumers to its web site for more information.
In addition, to educate consumers about the environmental attributes of metal packaging, the company also plans to print the official ‘Cans: Infinitely Recyclable’ logo on labels.
