March 22: Canmakers in the US are responding to increasing demand for speciality cans of the type used by energy and sports drinks producers by converting their lines from the standard 12oz size.
Rexam said it was changing four of its lines recently to make 16oz, 24oz and the latest 204-diameter sleek cans.
