December 11: It looks likely that Brazil’s CSN will take over Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus after all.
Following Sunday night’s increased bid from India’s Tata Steel for Corus of £5.00 (US$9.78) per share, CSN this morning submitted a counter bid of £5.15 ($10.07) per share, which values Corus at around £4.9 billion ($9.5bn).
