Tariff exemption requested for aluminium canstock

The Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI) is urging the US Department of Commerce to exempt aluminium can sheet from any tariff or other trade action. In a submission, the trade association says that canstock poses no security risk and that any import barriers have the potential to increase can costs.
