The Can Makers appoints new chairman

Newly-appointed chairman of The Can Makers, which represents the beverage canmaking industry in the UK, is Geoff Courtney.

Courtney is the head of the UK & Eire sales team at Ball Packaging Europe (BPE). He started his canmaking career at Pechiney’s general-line factory at Norwich in the UK which became part of Impress (now Ardagh) before moving in 1998 to the beverage can industry at Schmalbach-Lubeca before it became Ball Packaging Europe.
