August 28: Heineken recently launched its five-litre DraughtKeg in the UK and the US.
Heineken USA now offers its premium light beer in kegs which are reckoned to keep the brew fresh for up to 30 days after tapping thanks to its patented Intelligent Pressure System.
Made by canmakers Huber and Impress, the shaped tinplate containers feature an internal carbonator that releases carbon dioxide to maintain pressure and freshness, enabling the beer to be dispensed from the top of the container, unlike traditional gravity-fed kegs.
