Toyo Seikan is building a plant in Thailand to manufacture polyester-coated canstock as part of its long-term plan to enable canmakers around the world to produce low-environmental-impact TULC cans.

Toyo Seikan’s chairman Hirofumi Miki (pictured right with company president Shunji Kaneko) said in a keynote presentation at The Canmaker Summit last week in Tokyo that the facility, which will be its first outside of Japan, will become its base for global expansion of TULC production.
