An away-from-home beverage can recycling programme in the UK helped collect 51 million beverage cans in 2011.
This is the equivalent to 774 tonnes of aluminium and steel collected, and around 5,800 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions saved as a result of the Every Can Counts programme.
