The recycling rate for aluminium drinks cans in the US hit 58.1 percent last year, the highest for more than a decade, and up from 57.4 percent in 2009.
That’s double the rate for any other beverage container, said the Aluminum Association, Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI) and Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI).
