August 21: A meat and baby food processor in Eastern Europe is expanding its canmaking operations to produce easy-open ends for milk powder products.
Orshanskiy Myasocenserniy Kombinat (OMK) in Belarus is taking delivery of a conversion press developed and manufactured by Vatan Makina in Turkey that will enable it to make both aluminium easy-open ends in addition to two-piece aluminium cans.
