Venezuelan canmaker targeted by President Chavez

June 8: Canmaking company Alentuy SA is among a further number of private organisations targeted by Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez for takeover by the socialist state, reports Associated Press.

Chavez said during his weekly television and radio broadcast on Sunday that he had approved decrees for the ‘forced acquisition’ of two packaging companies, including Alentuy SA, which makes aluminium aerosol cans, aluminium drinks bottles and tubes.
