May 21: Venezuelan metal packaging firm Alentuy plans to expand into North America next year with a US factory for making aluminium aerosol cans and bottles.
Plan is for the plant at Jonesboro in Arkansas to open in mid-2011. It is expected to feature three impact-extrusion canmaking lines from Germany’s Mall+Herlan, for which Alentuy is awaiting credit approval, explained vice president for sales and marketing Antonio Nagen Jr.
