February 20: Sainsbury’s, the UK retailer that has scrapped easy-open lids from some of its own-label products, has explained why.
Leading canmaker Crown was surprised when it found that the retailer had been specifying plain ends for its cans, flying in the face of a European trend that would mean nearly all canned products would soon have easy-open lids.
