April 23: Work on the construction of Eastern Europe’s latest beverage canmaking plant was ceremonially started yesterday at Kechnec in eastern Slovakia by Crown Holdings.
Kechnec municipality Mayor Jozef Konkoly, and local engineering consultant, Imrich Balint, were among the participants.
“Kechnec is delighted to welcome Crown into the region as the new plant will create many business opportunities for our community,” said Konkoly.
