October 20: Metal packaging has claimed a stake in another market sector, after French-based dairy product manufacturer Yoplait adopted 25cl aluminium bottles for the launch of a carbonated flavoured yoghurt drink.
Produced in France on dedicated lines owned by Boxal, part of the US-based Exal Corporation, the bottles are decorated with high-definition printing and feature a Maxi-Crown ring-pull closure. The design is similar to that used by Coca-Cola for its Blak coffee brand launched in France last year.
