German process machinery supplier Mall+Herlan is about to launch its manufacturing system for aerosols cans that uses a conventional aluminium aerosol line back end, to which cans are supplied by a coil-fed cupper and D&I bodymaker rather than an impact extrusion press.

First revealed to The Canmaker at Cannex in 2010, the system was developed to combine the flexibility of the aerosol can world with high-efficiency beverage canmaking technology.
